Maijamäki is Naantali's school and sports block, just north of the old town. The sports hall, completed in 1984, is still the city's largest indoor venue at a little over 2,300 square metres, and it is built onto the school centre. Inside is a gym of roughly 200 square metres, reached step-free through the main doors and across the hall. Outside on the same corner are a football pitch, a rink, a basketball court, an outdoor exercise area with equipment, and a parkour space.
The hall gym is the cheapest of the three within reach at 22 euros, and it keeps the hall's hours. In practice that means evenings and weekends, since on weekdays the building serves the school. If you train at six in the morning or late at night, the two around-the-clock gyms are 1.6 kilometres east.
Three gyms is the whole supply. Prices run from 22 to 49.90 euros a month, median 37. The top end buys group classes and a sauna, of which there is exactly one each in the area. There is no women-only gym at all. Two let you try before paying.
Naantali has no indoor swimming pool, so pool work means the Raisio swimming centre or, in summer, open water. The same holds for gyms: if three is not enough, the rest are in Raisio and Turku.
