Jäkärlä gym is a neighbourhood gym run by Turku city sports services on Arkeologinkatu. The external door opens straight into the changing-room corridor, and the changing area has a shower room. There is no sauna. The equipment uses contrast colouring to aid visibility, and there is a threshold-free accessible changing room with a connected accessible toilet. Entry is by key card and slots are booked through the Timmi booking system.

The gym fee is 75 € for three months for club members and 100 € for others, 105 € or 135 € for six months, and 140 € or 190 € for twelve months. The key deposit is 80 €. Gym fees and club membership fees are invoiced separately by email, and payments are not accepted without an invoice. The women's hour can also be attended on a 5 € drop-in basis (MobilePay 56846) and the seniors' hour is free. The price list has been in force since 1 January 2026.
Independent strength training in the club's own hall 24/7 with a gym access right. Coached activities for all ages are also on offer: strength schools for 7–14-year-olds, youth hobby groups and the Atleettikoulu, adult beginner courses and hobby groups (max 7 people), a 60+ weights school, mobility sessions and athlete coaching. Bike racks at the entrance, parking on site and street parking permitted on Telekatu. The entrance is wheelchair-accessible with assistance.
Members with gym access rights train 24/7. The off-peak right excludes weekdays 16:00–20:00. The door is normally locked, and visitors must arrange their visit in advance.
Open self-training gym. Single QR ticket 3.70 EUR, 10-visit load 65 EUR (reduced groups 32.50 EUR) and a 4-month sports wristband 84 EUR (reduced groups 42 EUR). Senior wristband for Turku residents aged 65+ 42 EUR / 4 months and Kimmoke wristband 45 EUR / 6 months. Minimum age 15; 13-14-year-olds may train under a guardian's or coach's supervision.

Pensioners, unemployed, conscripts and full-time students get −5 € (single monthly and 10-visit cards only). Access tag 5 €, QR code free. Training programme 60 € (full-body) or 70 € (split), and a functional-training small group of 6 × 55 min for 79 € (max 6 people). Minimum age 14 (13 with a guardian). Payment by bank card, ePassi, Smartum, tyky and virike vouchers, or by depositing an exercise benefit into a 12-month 'wallet'.
Gym open 24/7 every day. Customer service during the summer season 15 June–9 Aug on Tuesdays 17:00–18:30, and often at other times too – call ahead. The web shop is open 24/7.
Memberships are billed in four-week cycles. The standard Basic rate is 57 € per 4 weeks and Premium 87 € per 4 weeks; both rolling and 12-month fixed-term contracts are offered. Premium clubs also charge a 40 € annual membership fee. A trial week costs 20 €. Services include group classes in three studios, small-group coaching, personal training, physiotherapy and massage, and childcare. Racket-sport slots and the arena courts are booked separately. The MyForever app works as a digital access card and is used to manage the membership, bookings and member benefits. The centre also hosts corporate wellbeing days.
The gym has a free-weight area (bench, squat rack, dumbbells), several cardio machines (rowing machine, SkiErg, spin bikes, exercise bike, cross trainer and treadmill), a comprehensive set of selectorised machines (leg press, pec deck, leg extension and curl) and cable stations (crossover, lat pulldown, low pulley). Single ticket 5 €, 10-visit card 45 € and 30-visit card 100 €. Students, unemployed, pensioners and conscripts: single ticket 2,50 €, 10-visit card 22,50 € and 30-visit card 65 €. Payment by cash, credit and debit cards, Smartum exercise and culture vouchers, Smartum Saldo mobile payment and ePassi.
Mon–Fri 15:00–22:00, Sat 10:00–18:00, Sun 11:00–20:30. Ticket sales stop and the main door closes half an hour before the gym slots end. Summer 2026: 1–17 June Mon–Thu 14:00–21:00 and Fri 10:00–17:00, 18 June–2 Aug Lietohalli is completely closed, normal hours from 3 Aug 2026. The hall is also closed over the Easter weekend, 1 May, Independence Day, 23–26 Dec, from 18:00 on New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day.
