Besides the gym floor, the location offers Fressi Trainer coaching, small-group training and nutrition guidance, plus changing and shower facilities, a massage chair and a Neurosonic relaxation couch. Local customer service is staffed only at limited times, but members get in with a Fressi card around the clock. You start, freeze and end your membership yourself in the Oma Fressi online service, and collect and activate the Fressi card independently. A flexible membership to one 24h gym costs 47.90 €/month, runs until further notice with one calendar month's notice; a 12-month fixed term gives an ongoing 8-10 €/month saving. The district's sports facilities were renewed in February 2025, when an eight-lane 25-metre pool opened beside a refurbished sports hall. From the centre the fastest way up is the Linnabaana, five kilometres of red-asphalt cycle highway that Oulu ploughs before it ploughs the roads.
Over a longer horizon the area is changing. In November 2025 the university board decided to bring everything together on the Kontinkangas campus and give up its Linnanmaa premises. Building starts in 2027 at the earliest and takes roughly a decade, so nothing shifts quickly — but it is worth knowing before signing a long contract.
