Kuntokämppä is the gym of Turun NMKY (YMCA Turku) on Kaskenkatu, right next to the city centre. It is a genuine old-school weights room that members enter independently with a key tag from six in the morning until ten at night. Prices are among the lowest in Turku and the gym has its own sauna.

Free introductory visit to the gym during reception hours (Mon–Thu 16:00–19:00, Sat 10:00–12:00), with no obligation. There is also a free guided EGYM introduction, about 30 minutes, booked through the web shop; places are limited.

Over 50 machines: free weights, pin-loaded machines and cardio equipment for every muscle group. Popular machines are available in multiples to avoid queues. Changing-room lockers come with a built-in lock and key, so you don't need your own; extra lockers are in the corridor outside. There is a snack vending machine in the lobby and a new access gate for entry control. Ongoing 24/7 membership 41.99 €/4 weeks, students 31.99 €/4 weeks; a day card for 06:00–15:00 is 24.99 €/4 weeks. Fixed-term options: 6 months 239 € and an annual membership 449 €. All-round gym training for women, a broad group-class timetable (Les Mills live and virtual, pilates, kettlebell, body-care classes), infrared saunas and a smart-controlled Finnish sauna, solarium, Vibra-Trim devices, massage chairs and Omron body-composition measurement. Lockable lockers, showers with toiletries and plenty of free parking. Personal training (solo or duo), massage therapy and monthly technology and nutrition days are also offered.
