PTVGYM Jyväskylä is a strength gym of just over 1,000 m² on Alasinkatu, open around the clock every day of the year with an access tag. It is kitted out for everyone from beginners to elite lifters, covering general training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, weightlifting and strongman. There are plate-loaded and selectorised machines, cable stations, specialty bars and free weights and dumbbells from 1 to 70 kg. The powerlifting area has calibrated plates, competition benches, squat racks, deadlift platforms and a monolift. For weightlifting there are 20 kg and 15 kg bars, bumper plates and platforms built so weights can be dropped from lockout. The strongman kit includes atlas stones and farmer's walk handles. Cardio equipment includes treadmills, cross trainers and exercise bikes. Chalk is allowed. A sports massage therapist also works at the gym.
