PT Gym

The gym holds roughly 100 different machines, a dedicated floor for warm-up and cardio work and a solid free-weight area, making it suitable for beginners and elite athletes alike. Equipment includes Hammer Strength plate-loaded and selectorised machines plus Precor machines, three squat stations, two official lifting platforms and dumbbells from 1 to 60 kg. Large changing rooms and a sauna: men's sauna Mon 8:00-10:00 and 17:00-21:00 and Tue-Fri 16:00-21:00, women's sauna Mon mornings 8:00-10:00 and Mon, Wed, Fri 17:00-21:00. There is also a solarium (1 EUR = 3 min) and a relaxation room with a massage chair and recovery boots. One membership covers all three Kuntomo gyms (Etu-Lyötty, Kempele and Linnakangas) and includes Kuntomo's coached functional classes. Membership 38.90 EUR/month, day membership 27.90 EUR/month, 12 months prepaid 439 EUR, ten-visit card 77.90 EUR (valid 4 months) and a single visit 12 EUR. The 9.90 EUR joining fee includes the access key. Minimum age 13. Massage and physiotherapy are also available on site.

A free trial week: request the trial pass with the form and install the Kuntomo app, after which customer service confirms it within 1-3 days. The trial allows three visits between 7:00 and 19:00 and does not commit you to any membership. It is intended for people living near a Kuntomo gym.

Access by key and mobile app 24/7, every day of the year. On-site customer service Tuesdays and Thursdays 15:00-18:00.

A nine-machine EGYM circuit covering the whole body, a guided first session with a strength test, continuous progress tracking with an automatically updating programme, mobility tests and an optional cycling fitness test. Membership includes body composition measurements, Neurosonic recovery and drinks at the studio. There is street parking outside, public transport nearby and a cycle highway right next to the building. Membership can also be paid with Finnish exercise benefits.

A free introductory visit. Open doors Mon–Tue 16:00–18:30 and Wed 10:00–12:00 and 16:00–18:30; at other times by appointment. The site states the visit carries no obligation.

A large free-weight area complemented by Hammer Strength and Life Fitness machines, functional CrossFit-style equipment, plenty of open floor space for box jumps and free training, flooring that allows powerlifting anywhere in the hall, and a sled-push and bounding track. Changing rooms and washrooms, but no sauna. The entrance is at the Limingantulli end; members of Liikuntakeskus Hukka can also walk through from inside Hukka. Minimum age 15.

There is no free trial. You can try the gym with a 10 € single visit bought online, valid for the day of purchase. If you join within 14 days of the visit, the 10 € is credited against your first membership invoice.

Open to members around the clock, every day of the week. No staff on site.

Free weights (3,000 kg of plates, dumbbells 4–40 kg, kettlebells including 8–24 kg competition bells, barbells), nine squat/rack stations, flat and incline bench stations, preacher curl benches, ab and back benches, plate-loaded and selectorised machines (leg press, Precor hack squat, leg extension and curl, chest press, shoulder press, cable stations, Smith machines), cross-training gear (TRX, rings, dip stations, sled, bag, medicine balls, skipping ropes) and cardio: 7 Technogym treadmills, 4 Concept2 rowers, 6 crosstrainers and 35 Bodybike spin bikes. Membership 22 €/month or 239 €/year, joining fee 22 € (11 € for students at reception). Single visit 9.90 €. Class bookings via the OmaSportello portal, arrive 8 minutes before the class. Minimum age 15, or 14 with a guardian present.

KuntoHukka's equipment: Technogym and Life Fitness machines, Eleiko IPF/IWF-certified platforms and weights, dumbbells 1–60 kg, kettlebells 4–32 kg, plenty of benches, squat racks and barbells. Cardio from Woodway, Matrix, Life Fitness, Technogym and Concept2, plus SkiErg2 skiing machines. The functional studio has rope training, sandbags, Bosus, TRX, jump boxes, Woodway Curve treadmills and Assault Fitness air bikes. Four group-exercise studios, the largest (Hukkala) seating 100, and a cycling studio with IC7 bikes. Changing rooms for men, for women (one fragrance-free) and a gender-neutral option, with lockable cabinets and showers. Memberships: full 77 €/month or 847 €/year, family 72 €/person/month, daytime 57 €/month, student 67 €/month, corporate-partner 67 €/month, joining fee 20 €. Day pass 20 €, week pass 40 €, HukkaOnline 24 €/month. Junior memberships 42 €/month (ages 8–11) and 52 €/month (12–14).

A free 'Kokeile kaikkea' day: one day to try the whole centre, including a guided tour and a walkthrough of membership options with an adviser. You must be 15 or over and live, work or study in the Oulu region; one trial visit per person. Book online or by phone on 08 4152 2001. A self-guided visit without an appointment costs 10 €.

Gym 24/7 at 42.95 € per 4 weeks, or gym 24/7 plus group classes at 52.95 € per 4 weeks. Students, pensioners and the unemployed pay 37.95 € per 4 weeks, and a senior pass (5am–2pm) costs 25.90 € per 4 weeks. Key card 10 €. All memberships are open-ended with one calendar month's notice, and can be frozen for up to 8 weeks a year. Single visits are sold round the clock through the web shop.
